A very neat, one-of-a-kind 96/44 rifle with a factory case-hardened lever and hand selected tiger striped, checkered stock. This rifle was given as a gift from founder Bill Ruger to his friend, Duncan Syme, the co-founder of Vermont Castings Wood Stoves. Mr. Syme used this as his primary deer hunting rifle for many years so it is not perfect, but an interesting piece nevertheless. Includes 1 magazine, leather sling, and Tasco red dot sight. This rifle is a first year, 1996 produced rifle and was gun #70 off the line in its inaugural year of factory production and would make a great addition for any Ruger collector.
